The Minnesota Minerals Education Workshop (MMEW) for K-12 teachers is a hands-on immersive continuing education opportunity learning about Minnesota’s geology, mineral resources, and mining history in alignment with the Minnesota Science and Social Studies standards, including:

- Guest Speaker & Exploring Redhead Mountain Bike Park
- Exclusive Minntac Mine Tour
- Hull Rust Mine View – Then & Now Overview by Cleveland-Cliffs

This year the MMEW is proud to partner with
The Minnesota Discovery Center in Chisholm, June 24 – 26, 2024!
The full program K-12 teacher admission includes nearly three days of immersion in the geology and mine history of the Mesabi Iron Range, free teaching materials/classroom resources, and up to 24 professional development hours! Monday evening dinner and Tuesday/Wednesday lunch and breaks are included. A coach bus will transport you to field trip stops.
One day program admission is available containing perks of the full program!
