Job Description / Duties
Job description: Do part-time contract work correlating "Young Naturalist" lessons and study questions to the Minnesota Academic Standards.
Time commitment: Approximately 2 hours every two months through June 30, 2019.
Play a crucial role in preparing the Teacher’s Guide for the Young Naturalists section of Minnesota Conservation Volunteer magazine. For each bimonthly issue’s Young Naturalists story, which is intended for audiences in third through seventh grade, the contractor identifies applicable Minnesota state education standards for the material and inserts them into the guide.
Qualifications / Required Skills
The task requires a broad knowledge of state education standards across all subject areas, and a familiarity with the practice of teaching to these standards.
Additional Information
The person in this role may also attend teacher conferences to promote MCV study guides through presentations, meetings, or other face-to-face encounters, and may help to evaluate the outcome of outreach efforts.
