Hello Minnesota Educators!

In a continued effort to support the incorporation of Great Lakes Literacy into your lessons and other fine work all of you are doing this year, you're invited to submit a funding request to the Minnesota Sea Grant Center for Great Lakes Literacy mini-grant program. 

Priority consideration will be given to applications who:

• teach 4th-12th grade students, or youth in a similar age range.
• are participating in the 2021-2022 CGLL Mentor Program.
• are engaging their learners in stewardship projects.
• are CGLL Mentors.
• presented during Dinner on the Lakes. 
• participated in the 2021 iNaturalist/Great Lakes BioBlitz mini workshop series.
• participated in the 2021 Trimming Our Sails virtual workshop series.
• attended Sea Grant Center for Great Lakes literacy professional learning opportunity in the past, plan to have their classes participate in the 2022 Great Lakes BioBlitz, and will use the monies to support this effort (click here for information on the 2021 Great Lakes BioBlitz).

• What is the maximum award amount? $500. 
• How can the funds be used? These funds can be used to purchase items that support your teaching, or they can be used to support relevant personal professional development or peer mentoring of fellow educators

IMPORTANT DATES

• MONDAY, NOVEMBER 15 -  application deadline
• FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 19 - applicants notified
• MONDAY, JANUARY 31, 2022 interim report deadline
• WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 31, 2022 - Project completion deadline
• MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 19, 2022 - final report deadline
