The Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) Statewide Teacher Mentoring Program grant is making $7.9 million in funding available to Minnesota regional partners, including institutions of higher education, regional service cooperatives, other district or charter collaboratives, and professional organizations to provide mentoring and induction support for new teachers.
The Department will be holding an information session for potential grant applicants. This session aims to provide potential grant applicants with grant priorities and highlight induction and mentoring practices that support Minnesota’s newest teachers and align with the Minnesota Induction and Mentoring Framework. Given the regional focus, potential applicants are encouraged to begin conversations with possible regional partners within their areas to support early career teachers. The application window for this grant is expected to be open from January 2-February 27, 2024.
Interested grant applicants can register for the virtual session scheduled for December 7, 2023, from 1:00-2:00 p.m. For assistance with questions or to request a reasonable accommodation, contact Chris Ramadan (651-582-8810) at least two weeks prior to the session.
